It’s a Wonderful Life - The most beautiful drama ever made about purpose, the meaning of life and what it means to lead a life worth living.
There Will be Blood- An Epic Period Drama, also character study on a sociopathic oil baron consumed by hatred for mankind.
The Place Beyond the Pines- Existential drama about fatherhood, a small time bank robber and a local cop and the long term consequences of spontaneous actions.
Master and Commander- Masterpiece historical epic about a British and French warship hunting one another off the coast of Brazil during the Napoleonic wars.
Buffalo 66- Crime/Comedy/Drama a narcissistic ex-con bowler passive aggressively kidnapping a tap dancer. Loosely centered around the Buffalo Bills loss in Super bowl XXV.
